  Carol T. Metral, RN, BSN Carol T. Metral, RN, BSN is a pioneer in the healthcare industry with over 39 years of experience in traditional and non-traditional settings. Carol is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Nursing and has worked in medical, surgical, and emergency care in hospitals and most recently in private practice. She has participated in numerous research studies involving holistic nursing and energy-based healing treatments since 1998 and maintains national certifications in holistic nursing and Healing Touch, as well as medical and emergency nursing. In 2001 Carol founded a community-based holistic nursing practice, based at Elmwood Acupuncture & Wellness in Massachusetts. Carol’s vast experience, guided by the philosophy of Florence Nightingale, has strongly influenced her passion and commitment as a patient advocate, helping many people navigate safely through the traditional medical system. In her work, Carol’s goal is simple but powerful: “It is so important to create a calm environment, both externally and internally, that supports each individual in their own healing journey.” Carol is available for private holistic nursing consultations and treatments that include Healing Touch, Reiki, and Raindrop massage. Carol is also available as your private nurse to accompany you through a hospital admission, such as surgery, to in- home care. She leads the Healing Touch Circle support group for eastern Massachusetts.
